Waka Lagos: An evaluation of pedestrian access to metro stations in Lagos, Nigeria
The lack of comprehensive data on pedestrian experiences and infrastructure quality makes it difficult to develop targeted interventions that address the specific walkability needs in Global South cities.
Funding from the Sidara Urban Seed Grant Program allowed the team to acquire crucial data on pedestrian experiences in Lagos, conduct field visits to ground-truth our findings, and integrate community insights into their analysis. This support is essential for developing a comprehensive and actionable walking infrastructure map for Lagos and improving pedestrian conditions in the city.
Funding for this project was provided by the Sidara Urban Seed Grant Program at the Norman B. Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
